Ristorante MV

Where do I begin? The setting is like that of a fairytale. I did not know where to look first. This cozy and inviting place makes you feel so relaxed that you might not want to ever leave. We had several courses and libations of all sorts. Our host Michael treated us like family. Our gastronomic extravaganza lasted nearly four hours. We were never rushed or made to feel like we had to leave. This might have been the best experience dining out in literally years. Treat yourself to the BEST of the BEST and go to Ristorante MV now! I called out of the blue, because of my wife and her friends having a date night there. The manager Mike, got on the phone, walked around the entire restaurant until he located my wife and her friends, and without hesitation went the extra mile to make sure they had a special evening. Very simple to pay over the phone for a surprise meal! This guy is awesome! This place is awesome, they said the food was top notch and Mike was absolutely fantastic! So was the girl at the front desk! I would go here again and again, she even brought me home soup! Except I paid for it: ( Awesome place, definitely recommended!

Simply amazing!! Our first time here and will not be the last. Lived up to the hype for sure. Food was excellent and the portion sizes are generous. The bolognese, chocolate ravioli & espresso martini were top-notch. Service was above 5 stars!! We kept saying that this was the best service we ever received. The moment you finished eating and put down your fork, someone was there to clear your plate. Mike was very friendly and engaged with every table to make sure each guest was satisfied. Will definitely return here soon!

Always excellent I have been here multiple times and always forget to post … so here goes Michaels restaurant is a compliment to bernardsville… he has brought in authentic quality Italian food …. Which never disappoints ! His staff is very knowledgeable… the restaurant has changed hands over 5 times since I lived in the area but since MV has moved in I am sure he will be there a long time Definitely a go to ! If you are looking for a good meal in a beautifully redone classic building go try it

We heard nothing but good things about Ristorante MV but unfortunately there was little good about our visit. The dining room is rustic and looked good but the tables are packed in so tight that you can barely move around. We had a party of four and the table was too small to even hold the appetizer plates. Our waiter was very rude and didn't seem like he wanted to be there let alone wait on us. I was hoping that the food would be outstanding to make up for this. It was not. The appetizers were fine but nothing special. I got chicken and homemade sausage in a balsamic sauce. Both the chicken and sausage were very dry. My wife got chicken parm which is her favorite and it was also very dry. Drinks remained empty for long periods of time without the waiter asking and when he did ask, he didn't wait long enough for everyone to respond and just brought the same drinks even though one of our party wanted to try something different. Finally, parking is limited in the area so I valeted the car. You have to walk around the back of the restaurant near the dumpsters to get your car. I could see my car but still had to wait over 10 minutes for it to be brought to me. This was definitely not the high end experience we had expected.
